WELCOME! You’re in the right place.

I’m Dr. Stacy. I’m glad you’re here!

By day, I’m a strategic veterinarian with a mission to help others through relationship building, problem-solving & knowledge sharing.

During the other 128 hours of the week, I’m a mom-on-the-move, amateur punster, and STEM education advocate. Like you, I’m leveraging my talents to make our world a better place.

Words to learn by

SEE ONE | DO ONE | TEACH ONE + COMMUNITY

In veterinary medicine, our learning model is “see one, do one, teach one”. This allows us to boldly learn. I’ve used this method to onboard new skills and mentor others. I add in the extra element of COMMUNITY. This is key. See why below.

SEE ONE

Start with observation. I know I’m always surveying and taking in my surroundings. There’s constantly something to learn from the people around me. Tapping into the knowledge and life experience of those in our environment creates limitless opportunities. This is where the knowledge sharing begins.

DO ONE

Is it hard for you to take “the plunge” when trying something new? Since this is part of the process that I live by, it makes it easier to jump right in. This is where we take action in our learning phase.

Opportunities to learn online from others are endless! i.e. VetGirl, Vetfolio, VetCandy, Youtube, TEDx, LinkedIn, Zoom or WebEx Mentorship, Khan Academy, Coursera, Skillshare, edX

TEACH ONE + community

Now it’s time to give back and perfect our skill through experience. Life is a process of betterment. We can teach others while giving back. Let’s elevate our colleagues around us. We can create a win-win solution on our learning path.

Building COMMUNITY connection around a new skill or interest is key. I’m always looking for my tribe to take me to the next level. Have you considered finding an affinity group, mentor or coach for support to create a feedback loop to hone your new skill? This adds psychological safety as you forge a new path, stretch your capabilities and even normalize perceived shortcomings.
